October is Disability Employment Awareness Month, a time to celebrate the contributions of workers with disabilities and to advocate for more inclusive workplaces.
At ICAN, we see every day how training and employment transform lives. Yet today, 85% of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities are unemployed, not because they lack the ability, but because they lack opportunity.
All month long, we are highlighting incredible individuals in our Supported Employment Program who are eager to bring their skills and dedication to the workplace.
Meet Margerite, a detail-oriented and organized professional seeking an office position where she can use her administrative skills to support team efficiency in a dynamic work environment. She is able to work in Torrance, Carson, Hermosa Beach, or Redondo Beach, and she is ready to bring reliability and excellence to any team she joins.
